SUMMER CAMP

The Dover Foundation YMCA offers a unique summer camp experience that engages and develops children while they build strong and healthy relationships that will last for the rest of their lives. Campers have the opportunity to build relationships with new friends and caring adults whiling having the time of their lives. During camp at the Dover Foundation YMCA kids will engage in activities, go swimming and build skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. 

 

We stay true to our Mission at the Y and remain accessible to all people, regardless of financial situations. Through our Open Doors Program we provide income based financial assistance for families that need it. Contact Us today for more information about our Open Doors Program.

Summer Camp Parent Handbook

YMCA Summer Camp counselors receive 30+ hours of staff training annually including child abuse prevention, child development, leading children, First Aid/CPR +AED, and much more. In Y programs we maintain a 1:13 staff-to-child ratio to ensure the safety and engagement of all children.

Traditional Camp 2017 - Rising K-6th Grade

Sports Camp - Rising K-8th Grade (some camps have age restrictions)

Middle School Camp Extreme - Rising 6th -  8th Grade

Camp Little Brave - 2 -4 years old

The Counselor In Training (CIT) program is for teens from rising 8th grade to 16 years old who are looking to build leadership skills and work with children in our Summer Camp Programs. Take a look at the CIT Program flyer for more information about training and prices. CITs will spend the first part of their time training and developing skills to work with children and build their leadership skills before they spend time working with youth in our Summer Camp Programs.
